1. Our Bible teaching will be doctrinally pure, spirit-inspired and relevant to our lives. We will strive to make sure that our people are hearing from God every time the Word of God is taught.
2. We will seek out and minister to the lost in our Community.
We will evangelize through individual relationships and through effective church programs and events.
3. Our lives, and those we minister to, will be transformed.
We should each work to achieve actual and visible life change, patterned after the lifestyle and character of Jesus.
4. We will experience God’s presence through worship.
We will worship with honest expressions of love and appreciation for God, without pretense.
5. We will strongly encourage our people to gather in small groups to give and receive ministry.
Small groups are critical to the vision of our church and provide the best opportunity to build relationships as well as our faith.
6. Our lives will be purpose-driven.
We want to enable every person to understand and fulfill God’s unique purpose for their life.
7. We will focus on making families successful.
We want to encourage and equip our husbands, wives, mothers and fathers to be successful.
8. We will encourage and equip our children and youth to be successful.
We will build a firm foundation for our children’s future success by building programs which communicate effectively and stay relevant to our kids.
9. Grace and Love will be evident in every aspect of our church life.
The Crossing will be a place where people feel encouraged and are not afraid of making a mistake.
10. We will support missionaries around the world.
We will support various world missions through our participation, prayer and finances.
11. We will continually work to develop leaders within the church.
Leaders are critical to accomplishing the tasks God has given our church, and great leaders identify and build other leaders.
12. We will work to achieve excellence in everything we do.
In every aspect of our ministry, organization and service to others, we will seek to continually improve; knowing that we are representing Christ.
13. Discipleship will be a core part of our training for all believers.
As disciples of Christ we learn to live by the biblical principles Jesus taught. As believers we must also learn to disciple others so that we can be effective in reaching others for Christ.
14. We will give compassionate care to people in need.
People often need support in times of crisis or difficult circumstances. The Body of Christ is here to provide that support and help heal physical, emotional and spiritual hurts. We will always be sensitive and supportive of those people who need a helping hand.
